Mister W. a 10 days was a dream baby. He slept pretty much the whole time and allowed me to pick him up and put him down while only giving me a few grunts in between. I know that his Mama was hoping for some open eye shots but those will have to come some other time because he decided that sleeping was more important, which was brought on by partying all night.
It was lovely working with you all again and I enjoyed meeting baby W. Best wishes on the days ahead and hang in there.

Sweet baby girl D. was 8 days old when I had the opportunity to cuddle with her again after the initial hospital visit. I was a little worried about getting shots as I knew she loved snuggling, but in the end she was a doll and was willing to work with me.
Thank you Y. family for allowing me to come into your home (and spend hours) with you and your new addition. My very best to you and I hope that the adjustment continues to go smoothly for you all. Little Miss E. is turning 6 months and has the most gorgeous eyes. She is already crawling and moving all over the place, which I am sure will cause some problems for her dog siblings. She adores her Sophie giraffe, her toes, and both her Mom and Dad. Thankfully she was super smiley for me and even though she wasn't amused by the end of the shoot we were able to get some adorable pictures in meantime.
I had another idea for a photo shoot. I wanted to do a senior shoot that incorporated more personality and more lifestyle than a regular senior session. Thankfully A. agreed to allow me some leeway and I am also thankful for Nicole and Darrell at Texas Coffee House for allowing me the opportunity to use their shop as my location.
I talked to A. and found out what she liked and what she was interested in and I was able to build the shoot around her and who she is right now. I think that really that is important in a senior session, because it allows for her and her loved ones to look back years from now and remember who she was as she was preparing to step out on her own. A - I wish you my best as you make the choices ahead and thanks again for allowing me to work with you once more. Sometimes things don't go as planned. I was supposed to photograph this little girl's birth but as it turned out she wanted to meet the world much faster than expected. Thankfully I was able to do a hospital session 12 hours after she was born. I love that her hands and feet were still wrinkled, that big sister was so enthralled with her, and that Mom had matching outfits for all the girls made. I am so looking forward to doing this newborn shoot this weekend. Welcome to the world baby D.
I photographed the reunion of this family in January and now, a few days before Dad has to go back to work, I photographed some of their re-connection. I love working with this family. They interact with each other so lovingly and it is obvious they adore their sweet girl. I hope that as they continue to readjust to being a family unit once again that everything goes smoothly for them and that they continue to fare well in the days ahead.
