One of my goals this year is to take more lifestyle portraits. 
Here is an example of my baby girl hanging out in her crib - I like how the slats on the crib frame her face and you can tell she is hanging out waiting to be released.

As my photography continues to evolve I thought it would be a good time to show another before and after shot.  Here is one that I took of my little girl in her crib the other day.  The picture on the left is straight out of the camera.  I liked the composition of the picture but I didn't like how dark the picture was, so I went ahead and sharpened her eyes and lightened up the picture a bit.  I like how the edited picture makes her nursery feel like a warmer, brighter place, which is what I wanted.
