This last weekend I was able to meet this lovely couple who is 26 weeks along in their pregnancy journey. They contacted me about doing a couple of different pregnancy shoots, so we decided that going downtown would be a fun way to document a little past the half way point. Unfortunately the rain hit shortly before the shoot, but we were able to hide out under some umbrellas at a restaurant for a short time. It thankfully stopped raining long enough for us to wander around town a bit and get some shots of this couple being a very fun loving duo. I am so glad that I get to work with this loving pair and I hope that the weeks ahead afford rest and togetherness.

Another of the newborns that I photographed is turning 6 months. He wasn't too fond of the camera in his face but as soon as I would put it down he was all smiles. This little man is going to have fun living closer to grandparents and I will miss having opportunities to photograph this lovely family. Best wishes to you on your move.
This little baby is already adored by his older brother. It was so cute to watch as he snuggled up to his Mama's belly and just rested, listening and feeling his little brother moving around. This family showed so much love towards each other - it was lovely to watch this interaction. I do hope that all goes well for the rest of this pregnancy and that big brother enjoys little brother as much on the outside as he does now.
I always enjoy working with clients over multiple sessions and moving from a newborn to a 6 month old is one of the funnest, because really they change a lot that first year. This newborn has turned into a beautiful little girl who is not camera shy in the least. Plus she was such a trooper yesterday allowing me to work with her on a cold morning. Happy 6 months baby girl and I hope that the rest of your first year is filled with many more fun firsts.
What a beautiful day it was yesterday - perfect for a spring maternity photo shoot. I had fun with this couple as we wandered around the park, and they even had an outfit change (yes feel free to bring a change of clothes to your shoot). This little boy will be gladly welcomed whenever he chooses to arrive. Best wishes to you both.
While I was looking through my Christmas pictures this year I came to the sad realization that I was in only two pictures (out of the hundreds that were taken). It made me a bit frustrated and I had a discussion with my husband about my desire to be in pictures with my kids (and I made him promise to pick up the camera more too). I then thought about the fact that there must be other moms that want to be in the photograph with their children and that maybe they just did not have the opportunity to make that happen. Then I saw this canopy online and that gave me the push to try my hand at mini sessions. I was blessed to be able to work with 5 wonderful moms and their kids. I hope that these pictures serve as a reminder as to where they were in their journey into motherhood on Mother's Day 2015. Thank you ladies (and husbands) for allowing me to capture this time and I hope that you have a wonderful Mother's Day.
