We have had such beautiful weather as of late that I was able to do this family maternity session in the woods. I am really happy with how this one turned out and loved the outfits that were chosen for this shoot. This family has been fun to photograph this last year and I look forward to capturing their new addition in a month.

Seriously little A. is the cutest. She had so much fun modeling for me and she has an adorable laugh that makes everyone laugh along with her. I have had the opportunity to work with her several times this year and this time was definitely the most fun. She really did take the cake and smash it to the ground... leaving quite a mess in her wake. Happy birthday A. I wish you the best year with many new adventures ahead.
This tiny baby newborn was super cute and look at all that hair. Baby L. decided that she was going to fight sleep at first - but thankfully she loved to be swaddled so I was able to win out in the end (although she had to be wrapped the whole time). I am thankful that I had another opportunity to photograph a subject that I love.
The weather has turned cold (if you haven't noticed) and I have moved inside for my shoots. Since I do not have a studio I have the opportunity to do lifestyle shoots in client's homes (which I prefer anyways). This little boy had just turned one and was super cute. He loved "If You're Happy and You Know it," puffs, and driving his car. Plus the family had a beautiful Christmas tree as a backdrop. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to capture little P. in his natural environment. And hopefully these pictures help remind you of where he was at this stage of his life in the years to come.
I had a vision for a shoot - a long flowing dress and a hydrangea crown. I also had a friend who was pregnant and said that I could style a shoot. Perfect. I ordered the dress (which is now available to use for future shoots if you are interested) and worked on the hydrangea crown. I also realized that if we wanted to do the shoot during the time frame I generally do them in it would be too cold - since 32-36 weeks hits in January. So I bumped up this session and waited for it to stop raining. We braved the cold and I was able to get some lovely shots - even though a cloud came over the sun for a good part of the shoot.
Thank you J. for being a good sport and allowing me to "play dress up" with you and I look forward to doing your family session in the cold of January. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to do my first senior session - and I had so much fun. I wanted to capture A's personality and a bit of who she was. A did a great job taking suggestions but also showing me a bit of herself and I am thankful for that. I hope that she feel's that I documenting a tiny bit of this part of her life and I am looking forward to the second part of her senior shoot in a few weeks.
