This last weekend I had the privilege of photographing this family up in Pennsylvania. This past year I have photographed them every three months so I have been able to watch J. grow and change from a newborn to a one year old. When we moved this last month one of the most difficult things for me was to lose all my clients and everyone that I have grown to know and cherish. When J's mom contacted me to let me know they would be visiting family in PA and she wanted to know if I could come up and do a family shoot I tentatively said yes. But as the time approached I grew grateful for the opportunity to work again and to see a recently familiar family face.
Thank you for putting your faith in my work and for allowing me the chance to see this year through with your family. We enjoyed the snow and the time with your family. All the very best as you figure out your plans for the next year.

This beautiful little girl turned one this month and it is amazing to think that a year has already flown by. She is beyond adored by both her mom and dad and it was fun to watch them try to make her laugh. Her one year shoot also included a beautiful cake smash and lovely light (I love it when we have gorgeous weather).
Thank you for the opportunity to see little E. again and I hope that she continues to bring both of you much joy. I know she will be keeping you both on your toes. Happiness is turning 1. Happiness is snuggling, giggling, and glitter. Happiness is sun flare. There were so many beautiful moments at this shoot it was difficult to pick which ones to edit; the girl was adorable and the lighting was just the way that I like it - oh and the interaction between this family was just lovely. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to work with this joyful family once again and that they trusted me to do their daughter's 1 year photos. I love seeing these newborns become more interactive. Happy birthday M. and I hope that you have a blessed year.
This Mama definitely has her arms full with these two adorable girls who are turning one in a few weeks.
Little H. adored the camera and was smiles for me most the time while S. was much more reserved and really would rather snuggle. Even though these two look exactly alike it was fun to see their different personalities in the short amount of time that I was with them. I wish you girls a very happy birthday and that you do with well all the changes ahead of you. Yesterday I was able to mark the one year birthday of this little girl. She is one of the sweet babies that I photographed as a newborn and then at 6 months. I love it when I get to see these little ones grow from itty bitty to having independence in both walking and talking. I know this little girl can walk and she happily said "bird" and "dog" but she only wanted to be held yesterday. She let her daddy fly her for a bit but after that she was pretty much Mama's little girl. Thankfully capturing Motherhood is one of my favorite things to do so I was still able to get some lovely shots of little E. as she snuggled in her Mama's arms.
Happy birthday little one, I hope that tomorrow is a brighter day. This sweet little girl is turning one and we celebrated by going for a gorgeous walk on the property that they are living on. I oohed and aahed at the long grass, trees, streams, and bridges and so wished that all my shoots could be done here. But alas I will take the one that I can get. This girl stood so well and tried to take a few steps to come and figure out what I was doing behind the camera. We had a lovely morning and I am so glad that I had such a nice time with this beautiful family. Happy birthday darling girl and I hope that this next year is a wonderful one.
This weather has been once again pretty much horrible but thankfully instead of stressing about it all day this family offered the chance for me to come into their home and take pictures to help celebrate little P. turning one. It is obvious that much love and thought has been put into setting up the rooms and I love the details. Thank you for allowing me into your home and letting me spend an evening with you all. I hope that P. has a wonderful birthday.
I can't believe it has already been a year since I was able to photograph this little man coming into the world. I have had the pleasure of getting to know this family quite well throughout this year and I am so glad that I was able to document this special first birthday for them. I hope that this next year is less complicated for this family and that they have many happy memories in their time remaining here.
Seriously little A. is the cutest. She had so much fun modeling for me and she has an adorable laugh that makes everyone laugh along with her. I have had the opportunity to work with her several times this year and this time was definitely the most fun. She really did take the cake and smash it to the ground... leaving quite a mess in her wake. Happy birthday A. I wish you the best year with many new adventures ahead.
The weather has turned cold (if you haven't noticed) and I have moved inside for my shoots. Since I do not have a studio I have the opportunity to do lifestyle shoots in client's homes (which I prefer anyways). This little boy had just turned one and was super cute. He loved "If You're Happy and You Know it," puffs, and driving his car. Plus the family had a beautiful Christmas tree as a backdrop. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to capture little P. in his natural environment. And hopefully these pictures help remind you of where he was at this stage of his life in the years to come.
