I have been attempting to get photos with this family for the last couple of months and thankfully we were able to match up schedules this last weekend. The leaves were gorgeous and even though it was so very cold we were able to still have a lovely time and I photographed something new for me - a horse. He was gorgeous and was excited to be in the family pictures and he is obviously well loved.
Thank you for trusting me to take your photographs and I hope that you enjoy the rest of your tour here - it was lovely working with you all.

This couple decided to have their 5th wedding anniversary commemorated with a photo shoot. Although the husband wasn't too excited about having his picture taken he was a good sport and it allowed me to get a chance to capture their goofy side as well as the love that they share.
Thank you for allowing me to glimpse into a little bit of your life for the time we had together and I hope that these pictures help remind you in the years to come of the love that you have. When J. asked me to come look at a couple of her and her husband's favorite spots I wasn't really sure what we were going to get. Lo and behold they were lovely, and I imagined what the locations would look like with sun and based my time of day for the shoot for when it would look the best with sunshine. Well God decided that we were not going to have a beautiful sunny morning, but a gorgeous foggy morning instead. Thankfully all of us saw the potential in the fog and we went with it. I hope that these maternity pictures help this couple remember their time here as they get ready to move on to their new destination. I know that God will bless them wherever they land if they continue to seek Him. All the best to you both and I pray for a smooth transition.
For the past 10 months I have been visiting this family's coffee shop on a 2 to 3 (or maybe 4) times a week basis. It has become a second home to my family. Then there is also the fact that they are working at raising awareness for Human Trafficking makes my going meaningful to more than just me. I am slowly getting to know the two boys and very much enjoyed watching them interact as a whole family. I am so grateful for the time that I have been able to spend with them and if you are in the area you may want to stop by their shop for some lovely coffee and a taste of home.
I do so many different types of sessions: maternity, newborn, child, and family - but the one group of people that I rarely get to photograph is couples. When J. asked me if I would be willing to photograph her and her husband I was excited for the possibility. So when I saw the perfect spot I contacted them and helped style a shoot for them. J. and I were both on the same page as to what type of shoot she wanted - an intimate, mainly un-posed couples shoot.
Of course the sky was lovely all day until right before the shoot. But in a way that was good. It challenged me to play with the lights a bit more and to concentrate on them as a couple - and not just getting my back-light just right. I enjoyed watching them grow comfortable with me being there and just walking with them. They are a lovely and loving couple and I am so thankful they allowed me to capture them together. The weather is playing tricks on me but thankfully the sun is staying out longer so I am able to fit people in for shoots during the week (and thankfully everyone has been super flexible with me and the weather). I met this couple one evening and we took a walk through one of the local forests. It was gorgeous and we were able to document spring and a lovely pregnancy. A couple of days later I noticed that the ornamental cherry trees were in full bloom so I asked if they'd be willing to get a few more pictures and thankfully they obliged because really - those blossoms are just gorgeous.
This super cute couple is soon to have their first, and their little girl will be blessed by two doting and loving parents. The sun was only out for a few minutes but the fall colors were gorgeous and thankfully we were able to capture some of the beauty around us as well. I am looking forward to meeting this little lady in a little over a month.
Saturday we had such bad rain I was afraid that we were going to have to push this shoot back again but thankfully Sunday proved to be a beautiful day for another lovely maternity shoot. This cute couple is 36 weeks along and can't wait to meet their little baby. They were super cute together and I loved watching how attentive the soon to be dad was with his glowing wife. My best to you both and I hope that your little one comes soon for you.
Well it may be the coldest day of the year, but what a lovely day to have a photo shoot, an engagement one at that! This super cute couple braved the cold to get some pictures to remember the day they got engaged. I wish them my best for the road that lies ahead and I very much enjoyed being out in this weather to document this special occasion.
